Approach

Understand. Explore. Think. Create. Test. Repeat. Mixe it up. And have fun.

Every design task is unique and requires a different approach, even though they all pursue the same goal: the best solution possible. To stay focused and to not get lost in opportunities, I work in a way that matches the industry standard “design thinking”. I advance iteratively and efficiently, work with appropriate prototypes (from low to high-fi) at different stages and in addition: keep some space for magic to happen, as creativity is not a linear event.

My approach usually coincides with that of design thinking.

I am convinced that good design benefits from collaboration and clear communication throughout the process. Therefore I embrace all kinds of design methods and formats such as sketching, brainstorming, moodboarding, prototyping and workshops in every phase from understanding to implementation. Both physically or virtually they help to gather information and build a shared understanding of the project.

Build a shared understanding with workshops.
Ideate collaboratively with methods such as brainstorming.
Explore, set and evaluate the direction with moodboards.
Rapid-prototype designs and evaluate the options.
Iterate and test possible options and improvements.

Working this way for small and big clients, I gathered valuable experience in the fields of:

Brand Design
Design Systems
Brand Strategy
Information Architecture
Content Strategy
UX-Design
Corporate Communication
Packaging
